What is Xray Core
Xray Core is a next-generation proxy protocol core, the successor to V2Ray. It supports VLESS, Hysteria2, Reality and other protocols in one application.
Why the core matters
The protocol defines the traffic format, but the core handles everything else:
- Routing — which traffic goes through which outbound
- Load balancing — distributing load between servers
- Observability — connection state monitoring
- Optimization — minimal overhead
